Course fees and payment
You can find course prices in our course catalogue and on our online enrolment service at www.ilmonet.fi. Please notice that when you enrol on a course you commit to paying for the course. See terms of cancellation .
You will receive an invoice of the course fee after your course has begun. It is important to pay the invoice by due date. All invoices are collectible by a collection agency.
Teaching language at the Institute is Finnish unless otherwise stated in the course description. In most language courses, both Finnish and the target language are used, and some courses are run completely in target language. We also arrange some special courses for particular language groups.
The school year of Vantaa Adult Education Institute runs from 1 August to 31 July. Winter break is always on week 8. There is no teaching arranged during that week. During the autumn term we do not have a break.
Other days when the Institute is closed: All Saints day, Independence day, Good Friday, Easter Saturday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday, 30 April, 1 May, Ascension Day. You can check the teaching times of all courses at ilmonet.fi.
If you have attended the course regularly you can ask for a course certificate. The certificate costs 10 euros, and it is sent to your home address. Course certificates for Open University studies are requested directly from the University of Helsinki Open University.
The Institute does not insure its students. Therefore, it is recommended that all students have sufficient leisure-time insurances.
